Alain Prost Gonçalves, 24, was arrested this morning in Londrina, PR (southern Brazil) with a backpack full of cell phones to be smuggled into a prison.

Well, the guy arrested is 24. So, his father probably decided on the name in 1989.
Many people didn't see them as rivals. And some people (especially at the time) didn't see Senna as a hero. He was a champion for sure, but not a hero. Barrichello and Massa, both very good, experienced and respected drivers are both seen as national jokes by the majority of the population.

Exactly... But it really bothers me how much they're seen as national jokes.
In march I was trying to attend to a book signing, the biography of an important Brazilian racing driver. I had just seen on twitter that Barrichello and other drivers were there. But I was on foot, so I took a cab. I told the driver I should get there before they shut the doors and told him Barrichello was there. The answer: "Don't worry. If Barrichello made it in time you will too"

Yes very true. But then again the guy that ratted out Nigel Stepney giving Ferrari secrets to McLaren was English. he probably hated Senna and named his kid Alain prost, lol
